A few weeks ago, Andy had the pleasure of visiting a stunning garden in Compton Abbas, a picturesque village nestled in the Dorset countryside. The garden, though beautiful, was in need of some attention, with many overgrown hedges requiring a skilled hand to restore their shape and elegance.

The garden boasted an impressive array of hedge varieties, each presenting its own unique challenge. From dense, unruly boxwood to towering yews, every hedge required careful consideration and technique to bring out its best form. Andy worked meticulously to shape them, ensuring that each hedge complemented the overall aesthetic of the garden.
The Art of Topiary
In addition to trimming and tidying, there was also an opportunity for some creative topiary work. Sculpting hedges into defined shapes takes patience and precision, but the results were well worth it.
