Tackling an Overgrown Leylandii Hedge in Mere – Before & After!
A few weeks ago, Andy headed out to a customer’s property in Mere (Wiltshire) to take on a seriously overgrown Leylandii hedge — and what a transformation it turned out to be!
This particular hedge hadn’t been touched for many years, and as you can imagine, it had grown way beyond a simple trim — in fact, much of it resembled full-sized trees rather than a hedge!
The Challenge
With heights reaching well above what’s manageable for a standard cut, and branches thickening into tree-like trunks, it was a big job that required careful shaping, height reduction, and a lot of debris removal.
The Result
After a full day’s work (and a lot of chainsaw action), the hedge was brought back under control, restoring light to the garden and giving the whole property a much tidier, cared-for look.
